PABLO BRAZIL

Pablo Brazil (b. 1994, Brazil) is a visual artist based in São Paulo. He earned a degree in Visual Arts from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado in 2020. His work explores a melancholic atmosphere shaped by his queer experience of the world, drawing on themes of identity and sexuality within dominant social and cultural frameworks.

 

Painting, for Pablo, is an act of collecting fragments of an enigma—one that remains perpetually unresolved. Through this process, the materiality of painting crystallizes human and non-human figures, physical and ethereal spaces, evoking a seductive melancholy interwoven with apathy, desire, and sexuality.
